USING OUR NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR GOOD

Welcome to the most technologically disruptive time in history. As we repeat history, San Diego will receive a new series of tools that will move humanity forward. It's up to us to ensure that we use our new tools for 'Good.' San Diego 4.0 has accepted the challenge of inspiring and empowering Main Street community and religious leaders to embrace change and continue to lead in our new industrial revolution.

LOVED, CONNECTED, AND EMPOWERED

Our campaign will create hundreds of hyper-local VR Experiences to help San Diego residents feel loved, connected, and empowered. The immersive experiences will include VR Trips to parks, hiking trails, art galleries, museums, and places of worship.

VR STATIONS

San Diego 4.0 will work with local organizations to create safe VR Stations to deliver our immersive VR Experiences. Our campaign will provide these VR Trips for FREE to organizations that serve our community. These groups include hospitals, senior living, hospices, homelessness, juvenile centers, prisons, public libraries, libraries, and school district libraries.

LONELINESS AND HEALTH

Loneliness has a significant impact on the physical and mental health of seniors. Studies have found that loneliness increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and depression.

LONELINESS AND DEPRESSION

A recent Journal in Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology concluded that loneliness was found to be a significant predictor of depressive symptoms among seniors.

COGNITIVE DECLINE

The Journal of Gerontology concluded that social isolation is linked to a higher risk of cognitive decline. Seniors that lack social interaction experience a lack of cognitive stimulation that contributes to cognitive decline.

Our community project will seek to support seniors with VR Trips to feel loved, connected, and empowered. Thank you for your support.
